Episode 54: Jim Coon - The Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association

Today we hear from Jim Coon of the AOPA. Do you know what that stands for? If you do you, must either work on Capitol Hill or be a pilot. It is the acronym for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

Jim’s group represents 340,000 pilots. That’s a lot of pilots.

Jim spent most of his career on Capitol Hill working for the U.S House of Representatives - specifically the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

You can tell that Jim loved working on Capitol Hill - he was the kind of government employee that gives you hope for our country.

And, he has a great story about how he was hired for his first job - and yes, it was an internship!

We hear all about his work, and the AOPA - hope you enjoy the episode.
